Post Brexit

What changes have been made to the reasonable adjustment duty post Brexit?

The Equality Act 2010 will remain largely in its current form post-Brexit.

Although there is no right to equality expressly written in the constitution, The Equality Act 2010 is a strong piece of legislation that has done a lot to drive forward fairness within UK society.

This guidance will be updated if changes to UK Equality Law arise. Deregulation, especially for small businesses, has been discussed in the past, although it is unlikely any changes will impact on the rights of disabled people or the duty for employers to make reasonable adjustments within the workplace.
